摘要
Preliminary
remark: this is a book chapter from a forth coming book
on Chunyu Yi’s pulse diagnosis, and it discusses how
the quality of the pulse at the body surface reflects
ideas about body parts inside the body. The discussion
is based on a finding outlined in my article in Innovation
in Chinese Medicine, CUP 2001, and builds on the finding
that the text is formulaic, and analyses it according
to the method of text structure semantics (there called:
structural analytic method). For our conference, the
entire section on huo ji tang is irrelevant, but the
section on the bladder and how conceptions of the bladder
interrelate with the pulse quality large is the focus
of my argument.
