Chirascan-plus qCD spectrometer
The Chirascan-plus qCD measures circular dichroism and absorbance spectra simultaneously. In addition to CDNN, a protein secondary structure prediction program, two extra analysis softwares, Global 3 Thermodynamic Analysis and qBIC Biocomparability Suite, provide dynamic multimode (CD, absorbance, temperature) analysis and statistical comparison of sets of spectra at far-UV and near-UV regions.
Please refer to Instrument Manual for details.
Important Notification:
* (2024-04-12) Chirascan+ is not available because it fails the CSA ratio test and it shows high HV at far UV. Until we get specialist from AppliedPhotophysics or authorized person from ApliedPhotophysics to inspect the instrument, please visit the Biomedical General Instrument in BioTrec for similar instrument and service. Sorry for the inconvenience. We will update the instrument status once we get answers from the manufacturer.
* (2024-03-13) Chirascan+ is not available because of high HV. Sorry for the inconvenience.
* (2018-06-13) Chirascan+ is available for service.
* (2018-04-16) Chirascan+ is not available because of lamp problems. Service is called. Sorry for the inconvenience.
* (2017-04-03) Free qCD sample tests available for Sinica users. Please apply sample submission through BCF reservation system.
